This is how I operate:

       
I teach basic music theory, how to play chords, and how to strum songs.
 
I do not teach classical guitar, lead guitar, or how to sight read music.
   
I am not a trained music teacher.
    
Lessons take place at my home, about 8 minutes walk from Sydney Central Station.

During lessons, your questions are welcome, and your polite and respectful attention and cooperation is essential.
        
I will clearly correct your mistakes and warmly compliment you on the things you are doing well. I focus strongly on the positives.
        
I will provide you with an email summary of each lesson, plus PDFs of chord charts and songs, as well as web links and other valuable material.

I expect you to agree to do a certain amount of practice each week, the length of time being up to you, but you will need to actually do it.

I believe anyone is capable of anything, which means you are capable of becoming an excellent guitarist – if you do the necessary work.
        
I lead a very organized life, so if you decide to do weekly lessons, I need you to be punctual and stick to the agreed time and day every week.

I am not available on Mondays (my rest day every week), Fridays or Saturdays, or any mornings. I work in the afternoon and at night time. 
      
You are welcome to do a single trial lesson before committing to weekly lessons.

I charge $40 (AUD) per hour (cash only / receipt provided).
(Trained teachers usually charge $60 or $70 for one on one lessons.)
